Founded in 1914 by Charles Hardy, Chatham Bars Inn began as an elegant hunting lodge and quickly became a beloved retreat for Boston vacationers. Today, this family-owned coastal landmark blends historic charm with modern luxury following a transformative renovation, offering refined accommodations, elevated dining, and exceptional amenities. Getting Here

Chatham Bars Inn is easily accessible by car from across New England, offering a scenic journey through Cape Cod’s coastal landscape.

From Boston

Drive south via Route 3 over the Sagamore Bridge, then continue along Route 6 East to Exit 85. Follow Route 137 South to Route 28, then continue into Chatham and follow signs to Seaview Street.

From New York

Travel north on I-95 to I-195 East toward Cape Cod, then follow Route 25 and cross the Bourne Bridge. Continue on Route 6 East to Exit 85, then follow Route 137 South to Route 28 into Chatham.

From Central & Western Massachusetts

Take Route 495 South to Route 25, crossing the Bourne Bridge onto Cape Cod. Continue on Route 6 East to Exit 85, then follow Route 137 South to Route 28 into Chatham.

Final Arrival

Follow Route 28 to the Main Street rotary, continue onto Main Street, then turn left onto Seaview Street. The entrance to Chatham Bars Inn will be on your right.
